On Saturday, June 30, world-acclaimed bass Hao Jiang Tian, together with international young singers from the iSING! International Young Artists Festival, will make their San Francisco debut at the Herbst Theater at War Memorial and Performing Arts Center.
Founder and Artistic Director of the iSING! Festival, Hao Jian Tian is the only Chinese-born singer who has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera for 20 years and has sung over 1400 performances in opera houses worldwide. His impressive career establishes him as one of today’s most respected opera singers. Tian is also a member of the Committee of 100.
The iSING! International Young Artists Festival, has garnered worldwide recognition as the the first-ever, young artists program that introduces Mandarin as a lyric language and Chinese vocal music as an emerging genre in the mainstream music world. Now in its eighth season, the iSING! Festival, held every summer in Suzhou, China, continues to produce top vocal talents, present top-tiered operatic performances and strengthen the cultural ties between China and the West.
The San Francisco debut performance will bring together seven of its most talented singers from across the globe. They will be joined by Artistic Director Tian and Fugen Wei as the piano accompanist. The program will include famous operatic arias, and well-known Chinese songs. iSING! San Francisco will provide audiences an evening of dynamic performances.
iSING! San Francisco with Hao Jiang Tian Concert is co-organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University Alumni Association of Northern California and Peking University Alumni Association of Northern California.
All proceeds will benefit the Asian Performing Arts Council for the 2018 iSING! International Young Artists Festival.
