One of the world’s most prestigious classical music competitions, this year’s Klein Competition features nine outstanding young string players from around the world vying for over $25,000 in prizes and performance contracts.
The Semifinals round (free of charge; no tickets required) takes place Saturday, June 3, 10am - 4pm (Hume Concert Hall). Each of the nine competitors will perform a 25-minute program, including solo Bach, the commissioned work by Lisa Bielawa, and a movement from a major concerto.
The Finals round (Sunday, June 4, 7pm) will feature three dynamic 35-minute recitals featuring well-loved sonata and concerto movements. Awards ceremony and reception will follow.
