Intro Crash Course to Sign Lettering!

Emmanuel Sevilla is a fine artist, painter and sign maker—originally from Los Angeles, now living and working in San Francisco. He received his MFA from California College of the Arts, BFA from Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles Trade-Technical College Sign Graphics graduate, is a Friends of Calligraphy member, and is very active in the arts and teaching community.
Join him for an intro crash course in sign lettering—where he will teach you the basics of brush / paint care, the type form, and the strokes the letter can take. There will be light lecture and the rest of the day will be dedicated to practicing and finalizing a piece to take home!
Each student will receive:- Handover paint brush- Reference worksheets- Blank sketchbook from Scout Books- Lettering poster — painted by Studio Sign Co & screen-printed by Black Stamp Studios- Sign blank to paint on
