What: Gallery “Interwoven: Indigenous Contemporary”
Interwoven: Indigenous Contemporary presents 15 artists, most from California Indian tribes and representing three generations, who use a range of mediums to create works that dispel romanticized Native American archetypes and re-contextualize traditional and modern Indigenous culture. Artists include:

Where: University of San Francisco, 2130 Fulton St., Thacher Gallery, located in the USF’s Gleeson Library, it is free and open to the public noon to 6 p.m.
Sponsor: University of San Francisco MA in Museum Studies Program’s Curatorial Practicum course taught by John Zarobell, with assistance from the Indigenous Arts Coalition (IAC). It is the second of USF’s two-part Interwoven exhibition exploring Native California arts.
