SEE EVENT DETAILS
Ahoy! Welcome to Social Physicality's (aka SoPhys) third happening.SoPhys is a social laboratory experimenting with connection through the physical. Each month, creative facilitators collide playful practices and guide us through unexpected experiences.April's Facilitator: Amy Rogg! Amy is a transformational creator and multi-platform artist, nurturing the human spirit through holistic arts. She is also a vibrant dancer, movement experience producer/facilitator, actor, yogi, voice-over artist, and most accurately–a very deep goofball. Our Journey:A large part of our human construct centers on moving energy from OUT to IN. Examples: being told what to do, taking direction, schooling, learning form and technique etc. In this unique SoPhys container, we will explore the journey of moving our energy from IN to OUT through awareness, relationship, connection, and expression. First we will dive into our subtle inner realms to derive and motivate the truth of our being. From this place, we will birth ourselves into our outward expression. Join us for this intricate mixture of subtle awareness cultivation, emotionally informed movement, kinesthetic contact, empowered relational dynamics, and theatrical-inspired improvisation. Wait, what is SoPhys?? Social Laboratory: we experiment and explore to co-create deeper human connection? Joyflow: we do our best to connect, collide, and expand with the present moment? Expressive movement: we continuously discover what the body wants to reveal? Inclusive: we respect and welcome the strangerGuidelines:? Wear clothing you are comfortable moving in? SoPhys is a safe space and welcomes all bodies and genders.? Kindly respect the space and each otherLogistics:? Arrival: 6:30? Doors close: 7:00? SoPhys: 7:00-9:00
