This September 30th marks the 15th anniversary of the first rehearsal of what we now know as LA-based band Inner Wave. Its founding trio set off as middle schoolers with a certain kind of gusto, and they've never forgotten it.
Inner Wave released its fourth full-length album Apoptosis marking a new musical chapter for the band. Recorded over two weeks at True Sound studio during quarantine in 2020, the album sets a distinct atmosphere that morphs several times over the course of its twelve songs, and dabbles across electronic, soul, funk & garage rock influences. Apoptosis is Inner Wave at their most confident as a collective of musical minds, and as young musicians who discovered new things about each other as a band after bringing a new member of the band into the mix while expanding upon the sonic palette they've laid out in their discography so far.
Now following the project, Inner Wave is hitting the road for their extensive North American Tour which will bring their newly realized sounds to fans nationwide.
