Yountville Arts is proud to present Loretta Loy-Adair's In The Moment.... Original Studio and Plein Air Works - September 18th through November 28, 2025, at the Steve Rogers Gallery in Yountville.
The mission of the Yountville Arts Commission is to celebrate and share the transforma-tive power of art through engaging exhibitions at the Steve Rogers Gallery. Hosting up to six exhibits each year including local, regional and world-renowned artists, it welcomes the public to enjoy Loretta Loy-Adair's original studio and plein air oil paintings.
Loretta Loy-Adair is a Northern Californian artist known for her original studio and plein air works. Her artistic style is characterized by luminous colors and expressive brushstrokes that capture the essence of the world around her. She paints in oils with brush and pallet knife, which allows her to create dynamic textures, shadows, and depth in her work. Her plein air pieces reflect her ability to quickly capture the changing light and mood of the natural environment.
Loretta's repertoire encompasses a wide array of subjects and she strives to capture and convey the soul of what is before her. Her still life paintings explore the beauty of every-day items and to experiment with form, texture, and color. It's no secret that her still life paintings are an expression of her Dutch ancestry and her family of artists, which has greatly influenced her style of painting by blending timeless techniques with contempo-rary flair to create her own signature style. Her works provide a unique perspective of our surrounding North Bay landscape and an increased awareness of impermanence by capturing a moment in time. Loretta Loy-Adair has sold and exhibited her work in prom-inent galleries in Northern California. "We are so excited to present this beautiful collec-tion! Loretta's works encompass old traditions while also capturing the modern north bay landscape, detailed works that need to be experienced in person" says Recreation Coordinator Katelyn Huss.
