An evening not to be missed, the concert will feature Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Musicians Hall of Fame inductee, and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Booker T. Jones. This is Booker T's only San Francisco appearance this year! In concert with Booker T will be Grammy nominee Mindi Abair on saxophone, fondly known as "the rocker of the jazz world."
In addition to elite, live music, enjoy heavy hors-d'oeuvres and a salute to Military Veterans. This event will be held at the impressive SFJAZZ Center on the corner of Fell and Franklin streets in the heart of San Francisco's cultural corridor. SFJAZZ is the first stand-alone structure in the country built specifically for jazz.
Event proceeds support Caminar's programs that empower vulnerable members of our community to reach their potential and thrive. Caminar, a nonprofit organization, serves more than 14,000 people annually in five counties: San Mateo, Solano, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Butte. Our prevention, treatment, and supportive programs provide individuals and families with skills, tools, and resources to improve their overall health and well-being and build their resiliency.
Our primary program areas include residential and outpatient mental health treatment, supported housing, integrated health services, supported employment, substance use treatment, family violence prevention, and services for individuals experiencing homelessness. Multilingual, culturally sensitive services are tailored to the individual needs and goals of each client. In order to increase access to care, services are provided in community-based locations convenient to where clients and their families live, work, or attend school.
