Improv Lab merges open scene work and fast, seamless transitions with committed, truthful acting and a variety of bold, fully embodied characters living in imaginary (and often absurd) circumstances. We like to "get right to it," without a lot of chatter, setup, or fluff. Our play ranges from straight-up narrative scene work to physical, musical, and purely conceptual. Truthfully, anything can happen!
Mona and Shara Do Improv - Mona Thompson and Shara Tonn
Mona and Shara are San Francisco-based improvisers whose style combines clowning, character, and storytelling. In the summer of 2017, they toured the United States for 9 weeks, performing and teaching in 19 cities. They have been featured in the Ocean State Improv Festival (Rhode Island), SF Sketchfest, and the San Diego Improv Festival. When they aren’t traveling, they live in San Francisco and perform and teach with Un-Scripted Theater Company and other Bay Area groups.
