Diaspora Arts Connection and Freight & Salvage, in collaboration with Persian Center, proudly present Impossible Stage(TM) Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 7:00 pm. Join us for an evening of amazing alternative music by South West Asian and North African musicians. Prepare to be dazzled and inspired as a group of 20 musicians and vocalists take to stage under the musical direction of Vienna-based composer and instrumentalist Mahan Mirarab to perform improvisations of folk songs from Iran and Afghanistan with Jazz, Rock, and other Western influences. The harmonic arrangements that will be presented use Microtonal Maqams from different regions of Iran and Afghanistan and a fusion of western music.
