Contemporary artists with disabilities from seven of the nation's top progressive studio programs are featured in the Bay Area exhibition, "I Wish I Had A Window."
The exhibition, free and open to the public, is a timely celebration of artists with disabilities and their broad reaching contributions to the contemporary art dialogue. Bringing together artworks by artists from across the country underscores a simple but powerful truth: art is for everyone.
"I Wish I Had A Window" features more than 500 works by over 200 artists from Creativity Explored (San Francisco), NIAD Art Center (Richmond), Creative Growth (Oakland), EFC Art Centers (Los Angeles), Pure Vision Arts and Fountain House Gallery & Studio (New York), and Project Onward (Chicago).
"I Wish I Had A Window" includes paintings, sculptures, mixed medium works, textiles, and works on paper. Purchased exhibition works will be removed from the walls throughout the month, creating an engaging and dynamic rotating space for the 500 plus featured artworks.
