The Volunteer Center will host the 2014 Human Race Kick-Off Breakfast Feb. 4th from 7:30- 9:00AM at the SeaCliff Inn in Aptos. All area non-profits, schools and churches are invited to register for the event and attend the breakfast to access the tools they need to launch a successful fundraising campaign for this year’s Race.
The Human Race is a family friendly walkathon and fun run along beautiful West Cliff Drive that attracts the community at large to raise money for the organization of their choosing.
Each year over 150 non-profits, schools, and churches step out to collectively ask for community support. In 2013 more than 2,000 race day participants and over 10,000 donors raised nearly $250,000 for area organizations.
The Volunteer Center provides all event support including race day organizing, publicity and promotion, agency trainings, and a free website where agencies can receive donations on-line, communicate with their participants, and visually track financial progress. Agencies pay a nominal fee of $25.00 to register and receive 75-85% of all profits raised.
Agencies are asked to RSVP for the Kick-off Breakfast by January 31st.
