How Weird’s weirdest theme yet!

This year’s theme is “Time Warp: A Love Story”, a romantic look at time and the world around us, with a trip back to the Eighties. The 1880s and the 1980s, together at last in a dance-off for the ages. Dress accordingly.

It’s time to dance!

The How Weird Street Faire showcases some of the best electronic dance music played on some of the world’s most advanced sound technology. Cutting-edge artists from across the Bay Area provide an unforgettable dance experience. For 2019, there will be 9 stages of music, representing different communities and musical styles, including house, techno, trance, breaks, bass, dub, downtempo, world beat, and some mashups of everything else. Together they form one of the most diverse and talented electronic music festivals.

This year’s soundtrack will provided by Raindance, Inorbit, Muti Music, Northern Nights, Pulse SF, Bootie Mashup, Heavy Petting Zoo, Mountain Lion Hi-Fi, Six Degrees Records, Temple Nightclub, Opulent Chill, and the Consortium of Collective Consciousness. There will be plenty to dance to, and plenty to enjoy.

About the faire

The How Weird Street Faire is centered at Howard and 2nd Streets, or 37°47’12.4? N, 122°23’53.7? W. The faire is located in the SoMa district of San Francisco, what has become the center of the technology industry for the city, and perhaps the world. The area is also home to a large concentration of art galleries and museums. The faire, the area, and the participants represent the convergence of art and technology, the fusion of creativity and possibilities. How Weird encourages fresh perspectives and new ways of viewing the world.

The How Weird Street Faire is a project of and benefit for the educational nonprofit World Peace Through Technology Organization, showing the world that peace is possible. The faire brings diverse people together to make connections and find common ground. Dancing knows no boundaries or political affiliation, and music, more than any other form of communication, is able to transcend differences between people.

See how fun peace can be at a place where everyone is free to express themselves as they are, no matter how strange that may be. It is a festival of acceptance and appreciation of differences. And in these weird times, that is needed more than ever.
