How to Start Your Own Nonprofit

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Seasoned nonprofit professionals walk you through traditional and alternative paths to getting your social solutions off the ground including: how to seed your ideas in collaboration, how to measure if your community solution is viable, what to do once you have funding and the pitfalls to avoid along the way.
When we see issues arise in our communities, it is often the people closest to the problem who have the most holistic, compassionate solutions. However, community leaders find they get lost in the red tape and bureaucratic confusion that can result in the failure of those ideas.
Tell us your great ideas for community solutions and we’ll help you navigate the first steps! This event is brought to you by the SF LGBT Center’s Small Business Services and Community Initiatives.
Speakers:
Heidi Hernandez Gatty, VP of Client Services, Community Initiatives
Ruth Williams, CEO, Community Initiatives
Community Initiatives acts as a thought-partner and provides professional services to nonprofit startups, established initiatives, networks, and collaborations. They sponsor projects for the benefit of communities in service to social change.
