Someone's gotta pay for it. Affordable housing expert Fay Darmawi has been helping finance community development projects for over 20 years, working with clients such as BRIDGE Housing, Eden Housing, Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC), and Silicon Valley Bank. She joins Bay City Beacon writer Mike Ege to answer the multi-billion dollar question: How do you finance affordable housing projects?

Fay Darmawi comes with unique background in finance and film, with 20 years of community development finance experience and five years of screenwriting training culminating in a fellowship with the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley. She consults banks and developers on financing of community development projects in under served communities. Clients include BRIDGE Housing, Eden Housing, Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC), Bank of America, Union Bank, Low Income Investment Fund, Opportunity Fund, Northern California Community Loan Fund, California Community Reinvestment Corporation, Silicon Valley Bank. She is also the founder and executive producer of the SF Urban Film Fest, an organization dedicated to using the power of storytelling to spark discussion and civic engagement around urban issues.
