How Architecture Tells: 9 Realities That Will Change the Way You See

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Meet the man whose architectural vision, mission and skills brought about the building of the Oshman Family JCC campus and more.

We often consider architecture as mere functional buildings. However, in his beautifully presented book, How Architecture Tells: 9 Realities That Will Change the Way You See, Robert Steinberg explores how architecture shapes lives and communities, how it effects the way we feel, and facilitates the ways we interact, integrate and thrive. The JCC campus came into being thanks to Robert Steinberg's architectural vision, mission and skills. He is a Berkeley-trained, third generation architect, and long-time resident of Palo Alto.

There will be a book signing after the event. Books will be available for purchase.

About Robert Steinberg:
Rob Steinberg, FAIA, is chairman of the global architecture firm Steinberg Hart, which was founded by his father in 1953. Rob is internationally recognized as an expert and design practice innovator in urban planning, hospitality and mixed-use projects.

As a recognized expert, Rob is a frequent lecturer and presenter at many universities and design conferences around the world. He is active in a number of academic and real estate related organizations including his role as ULI Governor, Executive Board Member of SPUR, an urban research and think tank, and Policy Advisory Board Member at University of California Berkeley Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics.
