We're excited to bring back the classic Detroit legendary disc jockey, Claude Young Jr to Housepitality . A true insignia of the Detroit signature style that defined a generation. He's done extensive remix work and produced records for some of the most respected names in the business across all musical genres including Inner City (Kevin Saunderson,) Carl Craig, Jay Denham, 4Hero, Joey Beltram, Gary Numan, The Reese Project, and many more.
As a DJ, he has compiled mix compilations for !K7 (Germany), Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) and Jeff Mills (Axis Records.) As a composer, his work has been featured on BBC Radio 4 (UK) and Sony PlayStation (Japan) and is included on Air Texture Volume 5 compiled by Jonah Sharp, AKA Spacetime Continuum.
Young releases his music independently and collaborates with live musicians and visual artists on a regular basis. When not focused on his own music, Young is one half of the techno duo Different World with long-time friend and production partner, Takasi Nakajima. The duo performed their first live show as the headlining / closing act in 2007 on the “Made in Detroit” stage at Movement, the world-renown Electronic Music Festival in Detroit.
