House concert: Klein Laureate Isabelle Ai Durrenberger, violin & Miles Graber, piano

To kick off our 2018-19 house concert season, we welcome the thrilling young violinist, Isabelle Ai Durrenberger, our 3rd prize winner at the 2018 Klein String Competition, with Miles Graber, piano.

Join us as early as 6:30PM for a dinner buffet, fine wines, and desserts; concert at 7:30PM sharp. Your host Mike Finn, will welcome you to The F'inn, his extraordinary and eclectic home resplendent with Victorian and theatrical touches in San Francisco's Alamo Square neighborhood. Seating is limited for this intimate event.

Program to include Mozart and Debussy, in addition to solo violin works by Bach and Paganini.

Violinist Isabelle Ai Durrenberger is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree with Jaime Laredo and Jinjoo Cho at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Recognized as a young soloist of potential, Ms. Durrenberger was awarded the Milton Preves Memorial 3rd Prize at the 2018 Irving M. Klein Competition. She was a participant in the 2018 International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove Masterclasses in the class of Gerhard Schulz.

Ms. Durrenberger competed in the 2017 Isang Yun Violin Competition, 2017 Stulberg International String Competition, and in the fall of 2016 was the winner of the Cleveland Institute of Music Concerto Competition. Ms. Durrenberger has performed with many orchestras including the Columbus Symphony, Asheville Symphony, Naples Orchestra and Chorus, Lakeside Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. In the winter of 2015, she performed in Carnegie Hall as a member of the New York String Orchestra Seminar.

In 2014, Ms. Durrenberger was on the NPR radio show, From The Top as a soloist and chamber musician.

Her most recent summer studies were at ENCORE Chamber Music and Summer Academy, and Aspen Music Festival and School as a full-tuition orchestral fellowship recipient. Ms. Durrenberger is of Taiwanese-Japanese-American descent.
