House Concert & Dinner with Kyumin Park, violin

A rare Bay Area concert by 2017 Klein String Competition prizewinner, violinist Kyumin Park in intimate recital, with Miles Graber, piano.

Please join us as early as 630PM for a delicious buffet, fine wine, and dessert; concert at 730PM sharp. Your hosts will welcome you to their jewelbox loft in the historic Clocktower Building in downtown San Francisco. Seating is very limited.

A violinist of great warmth, precision and passion making his mark on the international stage, Kyumin is pursuing his Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory studying under Donald Weilerstein where he received his Bachelor of Music degree.

In 2019, Kyumin was awarded joint second prize at the Max Rostal International Violin Competition in Berlin. He won second prize at the International Music Competition of Harbin, China and third prize at the Klein International Competition in San Francisco. He is a winner of the 2013 Thomas and Evon Cooper International Violin Competition, Oberlin, where he played with The Cleveland Orchestra.

Kyumin made his solo concert debut at the Kumho Prodigy Concert series in Seoul. He has given recitals for the Holland Music Festival and chamber music performances at the Kneisel Hall Festival. He has appeared as a soloist with The Cleveland Orchestra, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, the Korean Symphony Orchestra and the Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra in concertos by Shostakovich, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky.

He has been invited to many festivals worldwide including Ravinia Festival, Holland Music Festival and Kneisel Hall. Recently, Kyumin performed the Elgar Violin Concerto with the NEC Philharmonia, led by Hugh Wolff. He currently plays on a 1740 Dominicus Montagnana, generously on loan from the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation.
