The Palo Alto Art Center will present the largest survey exhibition to date featuring the work of artist and Palo Alto native Walter Robinson, whose expertly crafted and frequently humorous paintings and sculptures present a thought-provoking critique of contemporary culture and politics. The free exhibition, Home Grown: Walter Robinson, will run June 20-August 30, featuring 24 pieces from private and public collections throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, as well as one new large-scale sculpture made specifically for this exhibition. The exhibition is free to the public and on view at the Palo Alto Art Center, 1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto, Calif. A special Opening Celebration will be held on June 19, 7-10 p.m., at the Art Center, featuring live music, food truck fare and drinks for purchase and an artmaking activity facilitated by Walter Robinson.
