Rare Device is very excited to announce that for the first gallery exhibition of 2016 in our gallery space, we will be showcasing the work of some of our very own! The Home Show will feature nine current and recent members of the Rare Device family, all artists of different mediums and backgrounds coming together to explore and share each of their individual takes on the meaning of the word “home”.
Artist Statement: We chose “HOME” because of how relative the term could be. Whether it refers to a building structure, a collection of everyday items, personal belongings, or an abstract feeling independent of location, the idea of “HOME” is something that resonates deeply for each of us.
See work by Rachel T Robertson, Chamisa Kellogg, Derek Macario, Adrina Goglanian, Joan Karissa Gallego, Annie Amundsen, Jen Boonyalug, Lexi Martinez, and Steph Canlas.
The Home show will run from Friday, January 8th to Tuesday, February 2nd with an Artist Reception on Friday, January 22nd at our Divisadero location (600 Divisadero Street) from 6pm-9pm. The reception is open to the public. Drinks and refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!
