A Portion of the Proceeds Benefitting the Food Bank for Monterey County
Join Holman Ranch and Edible Monterey Bay Magazine for a Pop-Up Supper Club in the vineyard on Sunday, July 28th. Edible Monterey Bay’s new Pop-Up Supper Club series is all about building community, creating opportunities for the public to come together, sharing a delicious meal, and cultivating bonds that celebrate the food of our region.
Holman Ranch will host the July Pop-Up Supper Club with an evening in their Millenium Vineyard. Guests will enjoy a live grilling demo and meal prepared by Jon Kasky and Nancy Rohan from Paradise Catering. From Farm to Flavor Paradise Catering creates great food using the freshest ingredients available. “We grow most of the vegetables that we use on our 1-acre farm in Carmel Valley,” said Jon. “We aren’t organic because of trend; it is our nature. When we can’t use our own, we support local farmers in the Carmel area; always selecting based on season, using vegetables when they are at their best most tasty selves. We have been preparing food in this manner for over 25 years.”
Spend the evening swirling, sipping and savoring the intricate excellence and complexities of Holman Ranch Vineyard and Winery wines. Estate-grown and meticulously hand-harvested, there is something for everyone, from the bouquet of Pinot Gris, the barely-oaked, food-friendly Chardonnay, to the full-bodied Pinot Noir.
Enjoy a local meal al fresco and support the Food Bank for Monterey County. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Food Bank for Monterey County : Donations allowed without your presence. A certified Feeding America food bank, the Food Bank is the largest supplier of emergency food in Monterey County . It serves 1 in 5 low-income Monterey County residents (90,000 different people) with 6 million pounds of food annually. The national image of our area is one of wealth and beauty. Yet poverty and food insecurity exist in the “Salad Bowl of the World.” The challenge is great and the Food Bank strives to meet it on a daily basis.
