SONOMA COMMUNITY CENTER PRESENTS
Ceramics, Fiber & Print
Studio Sale December 9 & 10, 2017
Give the gift of Art
Mark your calendars for Sonoma Community Center’s annual Ceramics, Fiber & Print Studio Sale! December 9, 10am-5pm and December 10, 10am-4pm twenty + artists will be showing and selling handmade work in all price ranges. Shoppers will find affordable holiday gifts for the home and garden. All of the work in the sale is made at Sonoma Community Center and ranges from delicate porcelain ornaments to hand thrown serving dishes, decorative vases, wearables, cards, sculpture, and wall pieces.
“Finding a one-of-a-kind, locally made gift creates a more a meaningful holiday experience,” claims Ceramics Program Director Kala Stein. “Buying direct from the artist provides a unique shopping experience that benefits the artists, the local economy, and the studios at the Community Center. This year, some artists are choosing to donate their earnings to the Creative Sonoma Fire Relief fund to support artists who suffered losses from the wildfires.”
Families and individuals are invited to seize this opportunity to tour the vibrant studios and meet the artists, many of them who teach at the Center. The Ceramics Studio will be open for tours and there will be demonstrating artists both Saturday and Sunday. Gift certificates to classes will be available this year and are a perfect gift!
The Center’s Arts programming includes year around classes for all skill levels and ages including Trashion Fashion, figure drawing, the Chili Bowl Express, and public studio time in ceramics and printmaking.
