Henry Plotnick and Sebastian Alexander Johnson comprise a duo of highly creative, engaging, and thoughtful young musicians. The pianist and vibraphonist pull from a wide array of musical idioms to create their own brand of modern improvised music, and perform with great generosity and intent. Plotnick and Johnson, both students at The New School for Jazz in New York, are also both unique composers, each consistently producing work blurring the lines between stylistic boundaries. In concert, the duo presents a mixture of improvisation, original compositions, and music from the standard jazz repertoire.
