Pianist, composer, and 2021 Guggenheim fellow Helen Sung returns with her working quartet.

One of jazz's most accomplished pianists, the Houston native spent the first half of her life focused on European classical music, studying at the city's vaunted High School for the Performing and Visual Arts with classmates including pianists Jason Moran and Robert Glasper. But around the end of her studies at the University of Texas at Austin she experienced an epiphany listening to an album by Tommy Flanagan and changed courses.
