The first session deals with the healing power of food grown in soil rich in nutrients and complete minerals and prepared with cooking techniques that preserve the nutrients. The benefits of eating cultured foods such as sauerkraut, cultured grains and beans will be discussed. Demonstration of preparation of the various cultured foods will be followed by lunch prepared in accordance with the principals taught.
The afternoon session will be on energy balance and energy activation. Highlights of the forty years of research done by Dr. Lai on health will be shared. These include trauma clearing, metamorphic technique (clearing prenatal energy blockage), connecting with preconception energy, discharge and charge energy and basic Waidangong ( a form of Chi Gong) movements.
The hazards of electronic pollution and ways to protection from EMF and radio and microwave will be discussed. These techniques have been used by students in Asia and the U.S. with good results for many years.
The teacher, Dr. Lai was born in Taiwan and migrated to the States with her family when she was young. Dr. Lai obtained her doctoral degree in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She then researched the prevention and cure for cancer in one of the top three ranking cancer hospitals in the U.S., M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas for ten years. During this period, she realised the limitations of the modern Western medical approach to cancer. She resigned from her well-paid job to return to her Oriental roots in search of the true principles of health.
Through study and research in the East-West models of healing, Dr. Lai realized that true well-being encompasses body, mind and spirit healing.
In 1991 she founded Lapis Lazuli Light, a holistic health education and information center in the United States. Currently, there are centers in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
