Cradle of Judah

The dark folk entity of Human Bodies frontman and Boston metal/punk veteran Gabriel Ohara Durkee. Cradle of Judah weaves minimal folk-inspired instrumentation with layers of synth and rich vocal harmony, creating a lush and contemplative sonic world of its own within the neofolk universe.

Since its somewhat clandestine release in 2021, the first full-length self-titled Cradle of Judah album has garnered the attention of many listeners and critics not only beholden to the neofolk spectrum, being met with great aplomb in both American and European press. Gabriel has since toured and collaborated with several universally adulated dark folk luminaries such as Backworld, Of the Wand and the Moon, Blood and Sun, Osi and the Jupiter, and others.

Reflecting on personal struggle, spiritual starvation, and the universal pain of the human condition, Cradle of Judah strives to penetrate the soul of every listener, and to invite them to their dark reflections and reveries.

Lachrymarum

Lachrymarum is the solo musical output of vocalist/guitarist Jessica Way of Worm Ouroboros, Barren Harvest and Kinit Her. Her solo work centers around dark swirling layers of looped guitar and voice. Taking inspiration from ancient Roman vials into which mourners collected their tears, she named her work Lachrymarum, meaning "of tears", having conceived of song as a vessel for our emotions to pour into.

Headstone Brigade

Headstone Brigade is the dark folk project of band leader Egan Budd also known for his longstanding death industrial project Xiphoid Dementia. Officially launched in 2017 with the release of the "Divine Vestiges" EP; Headstone Brigade began as a solo act utilizing accordion and voice but also featuring a plethora of orchestrations for recorded material.

After collaborating with various artists for some time cellist Jeff King (also of Isenordal, Other) joined the live band in 2019 and assisted with some recordings thereafter. In 2022, guitarist Mitchell Bell (also of Thunder Grey Pilgrim and Knifecream) and percussionist/vocalist Bree Sadira Rose (also of Other and formerly of Witchbottle) joined Egan and Jeff for the project's first post-covid performance at Litha Cascadia 2022 and were subsequently made permanent members of the band.

While still helmed by Budd for recordings, Headstone Brigade now performs live as a 4 piece and heavily features the band's members contributions in recorded material.
