Hayes Life & The Bay Bridged Present: FOG CITY FEST (Night 2)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Easy Leaves are very top of the Country heap here in San Francisco, headlining and filling big rooms (Great American Music Hall, The Independent, Mystic Theatre), main stage set at last year's Outside Lands Festival (Willie Nelson told them 'We should play together again'!), CMT premieres their videos ... But more to the point, they write, record, and perform incredible songs. Songs that are meticulously crafted, and have great capabilities of (just plain) moving people. Under the guidance of Merle Haggard's music, and countless other important poets, The Easy Leaves have written their own great collection of poetry for the common man.

The Crux : Chains, boots, preaching, and playing the Pied Piper since 2007.
We Became Owls

We Became Owls is an Alternative Americana band from Oakland, CA. Songwriter Andrew Blair and multi-instrumentalist Ross Warner began creating, writing, and composing music together in middle school. Influenced by the sound of Greenwich Village in the 60's, the Texas of Van Zandt and Earl, and more contemporary acts like Wilco, Damien Jurado, Drive by Truckers, and Jeff Buckley, We Became Owls recalls a sound heard in the jukes, front porches, barns, and hillsides of a long forgotten era.

Harlow's Monkeys is a Stomp Folk band based in San Francisco.

SF’s Vandella is a lovechild of rock & roll, roots & soul, helmed by two enigmatic frontpeople and distinct songwriters. A modern-day Buckingham-Nicks, vocalist Tracey Holland and guitarist Chris Tye mix up a potent potion of sexy, sweaty 70s-era rock & roll. A package of Rolling Stones rock-meets-Alabama Shakes soul, the two met while both studying music in LA and spent the subsequent years traveling up and down the West Coast, honing their individual signatures and tying them together to form Vandella. Garnering comparisons to Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin, Holland is a powerhouse of a frontwoman, whose vocal prowess is matched only by her insistent command of the stage. As writers, Holland is at times intense and bewitching; tempered by the understated, perennially-cool air of her counterpart in Tye. The result is a sound that feels both exciting yet effortlessly vibey - evocative of that hazy sheen of their native California.

"Misisipi" Mike Wolf is an American singer, songwriter and musician. He currently resides in San Francisco, CA. His music has been compared to that of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.

For the last five years, Tom Rhodes has been making quite a name for himself in the Americana scene. His award winning music is as real and honest as it gets. His distinctive voice, road-worn and raspy from years of honing his craft, and inviting guitar work that cleverly masks its complexity, form a warm and welcoming home for his heartfelt and inspiring lyrics.

Keyan Keihani is an alt-country singer-songwriter from San Francisco, CA. His debut, full-length album, "Eastbound," was produced by Michael Hurwitz (Stevie Nicks, Eddie Money) and reached #6 on the Americana charts on Amazon. "Eastbound" draws on the long-lost true country twang and emotion that is absent from the modern genre. The album was written with the intent of being an "album" in its true sense -- a common theme that flows seamlessly from one track to the next, telling a story. His lyrics, especially "Good Country Night", seems to draw influence from Dwight Yoakam's "Two Doors Down", but has a sound that can have parallels drawn to Ryan Adams' "Gold" album.
