Legendary guitar virtuoso Harvey Mandel, aka "The Snake," truly one of the most distinctive and innovative musicians, continues to perform throughout the world, captivating audiences with his inventive style of electric guitar playing.
A pioneer of modern electric blues from Chicago, Harvey Mandel developed and mastered sustained and controlled feedback, displaying both extroversion and musical virtuosity. He has performed with many blues legends including Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Albert King, and Buddy Guy.
Joining Harvey on stage will be Kenan O'Brien who is a Bay Area native who has developed his skill as a bassist by backing up countless singers and instrumentalists in the area. His background is primarily in vintage American music, including jazz, blues, and country Western. Kenan also enjoys playing Gypsy Jazz and has had the opportunity to play with many great musicians in this style. As well as Dick Bright a San Francisco Vilinist who lays it all on the table when he gets on the stage.
Also joining Harvey on stage is 16-year-old, Anthony Arya who likes to spend his time busking on the streets of San Francisco in front of local bars and cafes. His mother inspired this lifestyle by introducing him to music at a young age. Through his mother, Anthony met Harvey Mandel, who once played at Woodstock, Canned Heat, John Mayall and Rolling Stones. Anthony has been performing with his Harvey Mandel's band for the last several months. He also performs his original songs at local venues and plays jazz guitar in the Kuumbwa Jazz Honor Band. He is now passed the blind audtions on the famous TV show The VOICE...He is on Team Adam......
