Revealing the Creativity of the Coast:
Third Annual Handmade Pacifica, Local Artisan Fair Returns to Sanchez Art Center

Pacifica, July 2023 - Prepare to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of artistic craftsmanship as Handmade Pacifica, a local Artisan/Maker Fair makes its highly anticipated return for the third consecutive year. This outdoor event is set to take place Sunday, July 30th, 2023, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at north San Mateo County's coastside art gathering venue, Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica.

Organized by Kristina Ayala (founder of Handmade Pacifica with an aim to foster a vibrant arts scene and create opportunities for artists, makers and small businesses to thrive), Daniele Derenzi and Sanchez Art Center, the Handmade Pacifica Local Artisan/Maker Fair serves as a testament to the depth of creative talent in the community. Set against the picturesque backdrop at Sanchez Art Center, the fair features a curated lineup of more than two dozen local vendors.

From the moment attendees arrive they will be greeted by a bustling scene of tents and tables, each offering a treasure trove of handmade wonders. Revel in the brilliance of sea glass jewelry, indulge in the allure of fine art, admire the craftsmanship of handmade ceramics, savor the flavors of delectable chutney and jam, immerse yourself in luxurious bath and beauty products, and be transported to whimsical realms through ocean-inspired art.

Artisan/Makers are: A Smashing Picnic, Bootlegger Beanies,
Christine's Cookie Co, Coastside Creations, Cuppa Fog, dnd Studios, Food for Faces,
Hannah Anderson Art, Janet Arline Barker Fine Art, JHC Pottery, Kaoru Sanchez San Francisco, Left Coast Sea Glass, Living Room Plant Co, MAE Leather Goods,
Mama J Glass, McQuade's Celtic Chutney, Naptime Designs, Pacific Java, Pufferfish Press, Rogue Star Beauty, Sawdust & Sand Woodworks, Shen Aroma Farms,
Skeletal Dropkick, Small Batch Jam Co, and, Taryn McCabe Is. Plus, local favorite the Moonraker Food Truck, will be here too so visitors can replenish from shopping and keep enjoying the art!

Beyond the remarkable artisanal offerings, Sanchez Art Center will be alive with the sound of live music by Blue City Jazz. All three galleries will be open showing the work of Dewey Crumpler, Fluidity; Infinite Cage, a gathering of Bay Area-based Chinese- and Taiwanese-American contemporary artists; and, Favorite Things, with works in a group themed show by members of the Art Guild of Pacifica. AND, several Sanchez Art Center studio artists will also open their creative spaces to welcome the public, providing opportunity to engage with them and gain deeper insight into their practice.

Given the growing success and popularity of the Handmade Pacifica, Local Artisan/Maker Fair, event organizers highly recommend walking, biking or carpooling to ensure an enjoyable time and minimize parking challenges (limited parking onsite with street parking also available).
