Artists' Bio:
Matt Schiemann is a second-generation potter and manager at the Morean Center for Clay in St. Petersburg Florida. Known for his strong forms and dramatic woodfired surfaces, Schiemann shows his work internationally. Matt is an adjunct professor at St. Petersburg College and a frequent contributor to Ceramics Monthly and PMI. Eric Botbyl is a full-time studio potter, living and working in Humboldt, TN. Known for his highly textured surfaces and bulbous forms, Botbyl received the Best Thrown and Altered award at the Strictly Functional Pottery National in 2016. His work and writings have been featured in Studio Potter and Ceramics Monthly magazine. Eric and his wife Jill own and operate Companion Gallery, a retail gallery featuring over forty nationally recognized ceramic artists.Todd Pletcher is an American studio potter from Goshen, Indiana, and is the Facilities Development Director at Clay By The Bay. Known for his wavy rims and curvaceous forms, Todd was 2016 emerging artist for Ceramics Monthly and shows his work internationally.
