The Midway Gallery's gallery dinner series gives guests and creatives alike a more intimate setting to celebrate art, creating more meaningful connection. Break bread with the creatives behind our exhibition. Hear artists, musicians, and chefs speak about their trade. Talk and eat with your hands, converse with strangers and friends.
Halation Dinner: The Midway Culinary is excited to collaborate with Chef Telmo Faria (Uma Casa Restaurant) and DJ Mario Tavares (Daybreak Sound) on Friday, June 22 to celebrate the opening of the Halation exhibition. The visual artists featured in this exhibit all have a unique way of creating a sense of place with light. Faria and Tavares will draw inspiration from the work of Christopher Schardt - an innovative engineer turned LED artist, and Marpi - an interactive digital artist and is Obscura Digital's Director of Experiential Design - to create a dynamic edible and audible experience.
The reception will start at 6:30 p.m. when guests have a chance to view the installation while enjoying small bites from Chef Telmo, and music from DJ Mario. The four course dinner will start promptly at 7 p.m., and finish at 9 p.m. Guests are invited to stay until 10 to enjoy more beats, and the venue. Tickets are $85 per person. Cocktails, wine and beer will be available for purchase as a cash bar. Please share any information regarding allergies when you complete your purchase, and no later than 72 hours before the event.
