Best Happy Hour Deals Near AT&T Park

Baseball season is among us. Now, where to find the best happy hour deal near AT&T Park before facing the $9 beer gouge inside the park? There are several options within walking distance to the yard—perfect for those mid-week night games where there’s a break between the office and game time. Here are a few of our favorites.

Tres
130 TOWNSEND STREET
Known mainly for its wide selection of tequila, Tres offers a weekday happy hour 3pm-6pm with the Tres Margarita ($5/glass, $19/pitcher), Tres Altos Margaritas ($5.50/$20), $1 off Mexican draft beers, $1 off specialty cocktails and Mexican Sangria ($5/$15). Along with $3 tacos (chicken, pork or rajas), Tres also offers a quality bar menu, with several bite-sized snacks all priced under $15.

Twenty Five Lusk
25 LUSK STREET
This beautiful, hip space is a crowd-pleaser just on the design of the restaurant itself. The interior, particularly the sleek lounge area, is warm and inviting for any after work gathering. Happy hour runs 5pm-7pm, Monday-Saturday, with well drinks for $6, select beers for $4 and select wines for $5. Bar bites include parmesan fries, Bavarian style soft pretzels and octopus kebabs, all at $6. It’s the perfect stop for Giants fans looking to get away from unruly crowds or those hoping to impress their baseball date with a pre-game stop.

Mission Rock Resort
817 TERRY FRANCOIS BLVD.
Located just south of AT&T Park’s parking lots, Mission Rock Resort offers the perfect waterfront location to pre-game with a cold drink and fresh oysters. Drafts are $5 and it’s $6 for wine and cocktails, but the best deal is the $.99 oysters.

Lucky Strike
200 KING STREET
Lucky Strike is one of San Francisco’s most expensive options for bowling, but its happy hour is surprisingly reasonable. Monday to Friday, 4pm-7pm, the bar offers $5 Bacardi and Stoli drinks and $2 off draft beer and wine. Giants fans can squeeze in a quick round of bowling before game time and enjoy bar games and plenty of TVs tuned to sports channels.

Alchemist Bar & Lounge
679 3RD STREET
A very slick and hip space, with a top-notch cocktail program to boot, Alchemist has a bit of something for everyone. The cocktail menu trends toward the craft cocktail movement, with plenty of interesting herbs and tinctures being used by the bar team. There is a selection of beers by the bottle or can and wine by the glass. Happy Hour is Monday to Friday, 5pm-8pm with $1 off beers, $2 off wine and $5 glasses of sparkling wine. Coco500
500 BRANNAN STREET
From 3:30pm to 6:30pm, Coco500 offers an array cocktail and drink specials and food from Chef Loretta Keller. Choose from $7 cocktails or beer and wine (between $3 and $7). Bites might include a duck liver crostini, oysters and the restaurant’s famous batter fried green beans.

Drake
508 4TH STREET
The bar and lounge offers Happy Hour runs through 8:00pm Thursday to Saturday, with affordable drinks (half-off on items like the PB&J, Paloma and Strawberry Daiquiri). Well spirits are also $5, beers are $4-$5 and wine is offered for $5 per glass. The kitchen also offers a few goodies, including Drake Fries, Tatchos (that’s tater tots drizzled with melted brie) and dumplings, forl $5 and under.

Mars Bar & Restaurant
798 BRANNAN STREET
Mars Bar is a longer walk to the ball park than other options, but it has some great deals. Monday is 50 percent off buffalo wings, Tuesday is $2 carnitas tacos and $2 Tecates, and Wednesday offers $5 cheese pizza. Also, from 3:00-7:00pm on weekdays and all day until 6:00pm on Saturday, it’s $1 off well cocktails and all beers and house wines are $5.
