Guide Dogs for the Blind’s Canine Heroes Gala will take guests on a journey of fine wine, gourmet food, and heartwarming stories about the independence and the power of its guide dog teams. Guests will hear Sapphire’s (pictured above) incredible story and how Guide Dogs for the Blind’s community worked together to save her life.
Attendees will receive a “Pawsport” that will allow them to experience a wine tasting in the dark, meet some future canine heroes, learn more about guide dog training and take a Juno walk (which simulates walking with a guide dog). During the live auction, guests will have the opportunity to bid on a week in an Italian villa, a luxury river cruise on AMA Waterways, and naming a puppy. The evening will culminate in a delivery of adorable 8-week old puppies to local volunteer puppy raisers.
Proceeds from the Gala will help support the costs of veterinary care, ensuring that all of Guide Dogs for the Blind’s program dogs receive the finest, most advanced medical care.
