Date and Time: 12-1:30pm Sundays: May 6, June 3, July 1, Aug 5, Sept 2, Oct 7Tuition: $420, limited to 10 students (age 21+)Location: San FranciscoBring your seeds to the first class, and share the flowers of your labors at the last session. Whether you are a complete novice in the garden, or have a green thumb but limited experience with cannabis, this class will guide you through growing your own top shelf marijuana for your California-legal personal consumption. This six-month workshop meets the first Sunday of each month from May-October 2018.Each ninety-minute class covers the steps you will take that month at home with your own outdoor garden. With the cannabis growing skills you learn, and the buds you cultivate, your tuition can more than pay for itself. Taught by a professional gardener and experienced home grower at a secret location in San Francisco's Castro District, you will learn:

June: Repotting your seedlings, pest management
July: Sexing your plants and repotting the females
August: Flowering and when to harvest
September: Harvesting
October: Trimming and curing your crop
You will learn how to avoid common pitfalls like under- and over-watering, poor soil, mold, and insects. Learning in the instructor's personal garden, you will be able to troubleshoot your grow, identify strains, and care for your plants at each stage of their growth. Finally, you will have the skills to harvest, trim and store your crop to enjoy for the year ahead.
About the instructor…A professional gardener, artist, and author, "Thee Professor" first grew his own legal recreational weed at home in 2017. Before that, he grew his own legal medical marijuana for several years. Before that, well, let's just say he was in the closet.
Before you sign up…In order to get the most out of the workshop, you will need: 1. 5+ seeds to bring to the first class (try Sparc in SF if you don't have any already), 2: a safe, private outdoor grow space not visible to the public (a south-facing garden or balcony with full sun), 3. basic gardening supplies like pots, potting soil, water, scissors, and patience (expect your materials, including seeds, to cost an additional $1-200.)
No refunds. This class is for outdoor growing in natural sunlight at your private residence. Thee Professor provides no materials or growing facilities, only knowledge. You will be growing your own weed at your own home with your own supplies. This is a gardening class, and no cannabis or related products are for sale. California law allows adults 21+ to grow up to six cannabis plants for personal consumption, check your local regulations for more information before enrolling or starting your own garden.
