The public has been invited to participate by bringing an object that is kept for nostalgic reasons only. The participants and their objects have been photographed and filmed during interviews about the objects' histories. Walsh has been meeting participants on the street in various locations in Downtown Oakland. Postcards of Oakland have been made, representing Oakland residents and their personal stories, via their objects.
