It's been 2 years since we began throwing shows in the Bay Area and we want to throw a show that resembles our roots, featuring forward thinking underground producers, in an intimate setting, with our family at F8 | 1192 Folsom.
In a perfect world, these Artists would be able to headline huge venues at this current moment. As it stands today, with numbers being more important than actual musical content, we felt as if it's our duty to expose these talented acts to their future fans. All in all, don't sleep on that cutting edge shit.

"Hailing from Morristown, NJ, Aaron Velásquez has been making sample based electronic music compositions for a number of years under the name Flamingosis. Flamingosis (the name comes from a freestyle Frisbee move that his father invented) is an electronic music producer, beatboxer and entertainer. Gathering influences from other beat makers, such as Flying Lotus, J Dilla and Madlib, Aaron is able to take these sources of inspiration in order to come up with his own unique style.
The electronic music community first noticed Flamingosis when he released his album “Summer Heat Vol. 3” (June 2012). Connecticut-based label, Grappa Frisbee Records (now defunct), then proceeded to sign him to their collective. Velásquez’s unique ability to manipulate samples has captured the attention of many musicians and fans. Since then, Flamingosis is very prolific and has made a slew of album releases and singles on multiple net-based labels, such as Keats//Collective, Em La La Terra and Rootnote.
Flamingosis has made huge progress in the last couple of years and has received much praise from the blogosphere. These blogs include Potholes In My Blog, Hilly Dilly and Obscure Sound. A handful of tunes from Flamingosis have also been played on California based label Soulection’s radio show. On the performance side of things, Aaron has opened for Lupe Fiasco with NYC based rapper Maxxx Flair and has opened for RJD2 in 2013.
With another album on the way (Self- Entitled "Flamingosis"), Aaron is planning to start out 2014 with a bang. The album is a reflection of everything he loves about music, which includes soul, funk and hip-hop, and it is a record that is trying to push the boundaries of sample-based music."

"There once was a dreamy-eyed lass and only punk rock and hardcore could make her shake her ass. One day she was walking around the block when she heard a boombox play hip hop. She started dancing and yelling YAAAAY but fell over and landed in a pile of dancehall-reggae. Reggae covered her eyes and face when she meandered into a basement playing drum and bass. This music made her dance and shake her back until she thought she'd have a heart attack. Then an unknown mysteriously deep bass sound led her into a secret room where dubstep was abound. Deciding she'd already fallen in love with enough musics in this one day, she finally went home and had dreams of getting thizz faced and riding the whip with Mac Dre.
Going stoopid doo-doo dumb on the stage with the likes of ___insert name dropping dopeness here____ Smasheltooth intends to integrate inner-city raps with privileged producer slaps and spread musical butter over rumps across the globe in the name of Furl! Yadadaholla?"
