Grammy Award-winning J. Hoard joins us from NYC this week for an unforgettable night of music and revelry!
J. Hoard is a featured singer and songwriter on the Grammy Award winning “Coloring Book” featuring Chance the Rapper. He brings an immense energy to his shows, infused with gospel, soul, R&B, funk, and hip-hop. This will be an amazing way to ring in the new year filled with great food, friends, Champagne, and a Grammy-winning vocalist in an exclusive, intimate setting in our downstairs lounge.
Based in Brooklyn, he is featured as lead vocalist of the legendary hip-hop curated jam, The Lesson, in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.. Over the last three year’s J. Hoard’s voice, lyrical genius, and fashion has become a staple in the urban and traditional music scenes.
In 2015 he appeared at the Montrael Jazz Festival and the Xalapa Jazz Festival in Mexico, the latter appearance garnering critical acclaim in Downbeat Magazine.
Beyond performance and teaching, J. Hoard is studio centered. He has released reflective music intended to provide healing via urban beat production and vibrant melodies. This was first achieved on his EP entitled “Feel Good”. The single “Arctic” received accolades in 2016 Sofar Sounds live premier. “Sirens”, was premiered on Okayplayer during Grammy week 2017 and went on to be featured on Noisey Radio (Beats1 Apple Music Station). It has since remained in rotation.
