Goldie Gold: 9pm-9:45pm
Anthony Caldwell, an American Rapper known as "Goldie Gold" of the Bay Area rap group "Federation", was born in Reno, NV on February 20th, 1981 where he spent the first 2 years of his life. In 1983 His Mother (Doris Jene Barnes aka Mama Dot) decided to relocate to Vallejo, CA then to Fairfield, CA the place that Goldie Gold calls his home shortly after. Young Anthony's music career began in the 6th grade when he started rapping and writing songs with Bay Area legend/recording artist D-Shot. Due to his characteristic flow, Goldie Gold quickly found himself being around the likes of today's legends such as E-40, B-Legit, Too Short and many others. He also went on to work with Bay Area Producer Mike Mosley and Sam Bostic "Steady Mobbin".
Goldie Gold adapted to the street life at a young age. Feeling as if things wouldn't get any better, young Anthony made what he could on his own. AS time went on, he found himself getting in and out of trouble, all while trying to survive. At the age of 16 Goldie Gold unfortunately found himself on the opposite side of the American dream. Suddenly, he was facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair after being shot at a local park in Fairfield. Prior to the unexpected incident Goldie Gold had already made a name for himself throughout the streets of the Bay Area. During this time, he met multi-platinum producer Rick Rock, who took Goldie Gold under his wing.
Despite being wheelchair bound, Goldie Gold could be found outside of a well-known record shop called "Funky Chicken" located near Fairfield High School, where he often kicked raw uncut verses and participated in rap battles. By 1999 Rick Rock had also recruited American Rappers Doonie Baby as well as Mr. Stress, and went on to form the Bay Area rap group "Federation". Together the group debuted on Bay Area Producer Mike Mosley's 2002 release "Major Work: The Soundtrack". In 2003 their first single "Hyphy" featuring Bay Area legend E-40 was debuted, "Hyphy" became an instant hit in Northern California, landing "The Federation" the opportunity to perform "Hyphy" during a halftime show with the AND1 Mixtape Live Tour at The Oracle Arena in June of 2004. From 2004-2005 Goldie Gold went on to make numerous appearances such as becoming the first American Rapper to host in a nightclub located at Caesars Palace on the Strip in Las Vegas, NV.
Goldie Gold also appeared on John Madden's "EA Sports" video game in 2004. On the Strength of "Hyphy", and their following singles "Donkey" and "GO Dumb", the group's self-titled album "Federation: The Album" was released under Virgin Records In 2005. Alongside Bay Area legend, E-40 the group recorded "Go Hard or Go Home" in 2006 which made it to the soundtrack of the hit movie "Stomp the Yard". To critical reception, Rick Rock signed "Federation", releasing the group's second album "It's Whateva" in the summer of 2007 under Warner Music Group.
After taking a small hiatus, Goldie Gold decided to return to the music scene as an independent artist. Goldie Gold is determined to regain his momentum and he begun to establish various working
relationships throughout the music industry, including collaborating with music industry powerhouse's "Empire" and "Sony ATV".
