The '70s produced a lot of great (and not so great) dance music. Las Vegas duo Goldboot takes inspiration from all of it to create some interesting and downright fun indie-disco, electro-funk jams. But underneath the all the hip-shakin' and flashing disco balls is a band that captures the subtle paranoia and darkness that is Vegas. In the video "Won't Lie Not Cool" the singer tries to have fun, but is being chased by a golden Tom Waits look-alike figment of his paranoia. In "Cold Feet" he attempts to find a good time, but instead is continually captured and tortured in new and creative ways. Such is the dichotomy of Sin City. (Aaron Carnes)
