GOING SOLO: CROWDFUNDING, SELF-DISTRIBUTION and ENGAGEMENT
"Me, myself, and I" is no mantra for a filmmaker. Don't go it alone, DIY, solo, independent, single, stag... An alternative route to bring your film to audiences seems freeing from all the industry malarky but it can be tricky. You might not be worried about monetary gain. You might only want to get your film in front of as many people as possible but how? When do you start outreach, engagement, or building an audience? Can you have any other response to crowdfunding other than ugh...? Are you digging the internet archives to understand VOD, iTunes, Amazon, Gathr, Gumroad, aggregators? Are you thinking of a limited crowdfunded or crowdsourced theatrical release? This panel is for you guerilla, independent, lone she-wolf filmmaker.
BAWIFM hosts a panel on CROWDFUNDING, SELF-DISTRIBUTION and ENGAGEMENT. We've invited Distribber a VOD platform aggregator and a few filmmakers in different phases of the film hustle. We'll share advice, outline platforms and tools, while offering a better understanding of how to go the path alone.

What's Distribber?
Distribber is an aggregator for iTunes, Hulu, Amazon, VuDu, Netflix, Cable VOD and much more. As an aggregator we work to receive, repair, conform, package, and deliver your film to the outlets you have chosen. Distribber allows filmmakers to keep 100% of all profits generated, which effectively removes any middlemen from taking undeserving revenue. Once your film is packaged, Distribber will deliver all assets into our partner portals to go live.
