Everyone in the Bay Area who loves flight, or is curious about the future of transportation, should mark their calendars for the exciting culmination of GoFly Prize, the world's first-ever global competition to create personal human flight machines. The GoFly Prize Final Fly-Off takes place February 27-29 at Moffett Federal Airfield at NASA Ames Research Center, and welcomes the public with a variety of ticketing options, available on Eventbrite.
Since it was announced two years ago, this $2 million global competition attracted more than 850 teams and 3800 innovators from 103 countries. Throughout the three days, multiple personal flying machine teams will compete for the $1 million Grand Prize, as well as monetary prizes for noise, speed, and size. Event goers will also enjoy live air shows with personal flyers, innovation showcases, a pararescue demonstration from the California Air National Guard, and Keynotes with industry leaders.
