This is an opportunity for students, families, and community members to learn more about different cultural exchange opportunities and the benefits of studying abroad. Past AFS participants as well as local AFS volunteers will be present to answer questions and talk about their experiences.
Come learn about different international exchange opportunities with AFS, the largest and most established exchange program in the world (www.afsusa.org)! AFS gives over $1.2 million dollars in scholarships to students every year.
Every year SF Bay Area families host 35 international AFS exhcahge students who are here to learn about US culture. Every year 50 local students study abroad for a year, semester, or summer.
AFS is a nonprofit, international educational exchange organization, working towards a more peaceful and just world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools, and communities through a global volunteer partnership.
