About the Musicians

Anju Goto is a violinist and violist based in the Bay Area. He completed his undergraduate degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2020 and is currently pursuing a master's degree at the Thornton School of Music in Viola Performance under Yura Lee. Anju was a member of the San Francisco Youth Orchestra from 2015 to 2020, serving as the principal violist during the 2019-2020 season. Besides classical music, he is also interested in a wide variety of genres, such as Baroque performance with period instruments, taking Technology and Applied Composition classes at SFCM, and joining the Pop Strings Ensemble at Thornton.

Federico Strand Ramirez is a Bay Area cellist and native San Franciscan. He began learning cello at the age of 11, and obtained degrees at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Mannes School of Music. He enjoys a varied career of chamber music, orchestra, dance accompaniment, and teaching. He has performed with ensembles such as the Sacramento Philharmonic, the Mendocino Orchestra, and Ensemble Mik Nawooj. Federico has also attended several music festivals, such as Yellow Barn, Bowdoin, and Napa Valley's Blackburn Academy.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Katelyn Tan began her musical studies at the age of 10. She completed her masters at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2020 and currently works as a pianist for the San Francisco Ballet. She is also a staff accompanist for the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and in the past has been a pianist for companies including San Francisco Opera, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, San Francisco Girls Chorus, Smuin Ballet, and the American Conservatory Theater. In her spare time, she also enjoys composing lofi beats and playing video games.
