SEE EVENT DETAILS
Back in 2006, San Jose graphic novelist Gene Yang received a whole bunch of awards and accolades for his book American Born Chinese, including a nomination for the National Book Award-he was the first graphic novelist to be nominated. His latest book, Boxers and Saints, has just been selected as a finalist for this year's NBAs and he'll be presenting original art and concept work from the book at the Art Boutiki. Boxers and Saints chronicles the parallel stories of two young people caught up in the Chinese Boxer Rebellion of 1898. --Stephen Layton
