GARTH HUDSON comes to the West Coast to present his highly praised compositions and THE BAND songs. This tour is a remarkable showcase of jazz, rock and everything in between. Complete solo pieces are an integral part of the show. MR HUDSON is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist. As the organist, keyboardist and saxophonist for rock group THE BAND, he was a principal architect of the group's unique sound. Hudson has been called "the most brilliant organist in the rock world" by Time Magazine and "The first true rock keyboard virtuoso" by Keyboard Magazine. A master of the Lowrey organ, Hudson's orchestral tone sense and style anticipated many of the sonic advances of the polyphonic synthesizer. His primary instruments are piano, electronic keyboards, tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone and accordion. He is a much- in-demand and respected session musician, performing with dozens of artists and earning the accolades of many including Elton John, who has cited him as an early influence. Garth recorded /engineered the original Basement Tapes sessions in Woodstock with Bob Dylan. He is a lecturer, creator of innovative learning techniques, composer, concert performer, and music consultant.

THE SINGER: SISTER MAUD HUDSON joins her husband of 35 years. She is a remarkable and versatile singer who is known for her renditions of both familiar and obscure songs. She grew up in Los Angeles. Among those she has performed/recorded with are The Band, Albert Collins, Paul Butterfield, Clifford Scott, Norah Jones, Ronnie Hawkins, Hirth Martinez, Dr. John, Cyndi Lauper, Geoff Muldaur, The Sadies, Gavin Friday, and Mary Margaret O'Hara. Rick Danko described Sister Maud as a brilliant singer and she has received praise from writer Greil Marcus and critic Robert Hilburn of the LA Times among other notable critics. "Sister Maud sang with such unadorned elegance that it hushed the packed hall." Master Z wrote, "... that beautiful voice that both whispers... around distant rapids... remote waterfalls... in fog, in mist... and rants among thunder and lightning on mountaintops high...”

THE MUSICIANS: KEVIN HEARN and THIN BUCKLE are a Canadian band consisting of Barenaked Ladies’ and Lou Reed’s multi-instrumentalist KEVIN HEARN (contributing to vocals, keyboard, and guitar), bassist CHRIS GARTNER, drummer GREAT BOB SCOTT, and PAUL RIGBY (Neko Case) guesting on Guitar and Mandolin.
