Garrison Starr & Roger Street Friedman

$15 General Admission

Doors at 7:30pm.

Show from 8:15-10:30pm with one intermission

All-Ages are welcome

Garrison Starr is the quintessential musical triple-threat, singer, songwriter, Grammy-nominated record producer, and her soon-to-be-released latest full-length album, Garrison Starr and The Gospel Truth, reveals her at the height of her powers.
Starr calls the new collection of songs, "Swamp Gospel Hymns for Humans," the next chapter in her story of recovery and healing from her Evangelical Christian upbringing. Her previous album, "Girl I Used To Be," released during the pandemic in March 2021, launched her exploration of deconstruction on the path towards self-love and forgiveness. "Girl I Used To Be" is the story of saying goodbye to what was, and The Gospel Truth is the story of the journey over the bridge to freedom.
Starr has been releasing singles from the new record over the last several months, following a number of TV placements on Monarch, Bull, and most recently, Walker: Independence, a consistent pattern for Starr throughout her remarkable career.
Starr is a celebrated singer of such remarkable reputation that music icons go out of their way to praise her. Glen Phillips declares, "Garrison's voice goes straight to the gut. She reminds you of what it means to be human." Mary Chapin Carpenter adds, "She just writes and sings her heart out. In the American Idolized landscape that constitutes today's music business, she is someone to be thankful for."
Her frequent collaborations with other artists have been both in the studio and on stage - Starr has toured with the likes of Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Bruce Cockburn, Patty Griffin, Mindy Smith, Glen Phillips, and The Indigo Girls, to name a few, logging hundreds of thousands of touring miles across the country and around the world.
The forthcoming record is called Garrison Starr and The Gospel Truth. New releases forthcoming.

Roger Street Friedman is a critically acclaimed artist who has garnered features, album reviews, and video premieres in esteemed outlets such as Relix, American Songwriter, Goldmine Magazine, Bluegrass Situation, Americana Highways, The Boot, No Depression, Consequence of Sound, American Blues Scene, Americana UK, and Elmore. He is a literate lyricist with an empathic and insightful perspective that reveals the magic in the mundane aspects of everyday living.

Over the past decade, and during the course of four critically acclaimed albums, the modern Americana singer-songwriter has become a prominent voice in addressing issues both societal and personal in ways that recall the leading music lights of the '60s and '70s. On his new album, Long Shadows, Friedman trains his observant eye on recent and past events, some close to home and others half a world away, and in the tradition of other great storytellers, he focuses on raw emotions - love, anger, dismay, fear, isolation and ultimately, hope - in ways that make his points relatable to any listener.

Roger and his band have opened for Los Lobos and The Blind Boys of Alabama, performed at the Clearwater Folk Festival, Huntington Folk Festival, The Mile of Music Festival in Appleton, Wisconsin, and The Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and have toured up and down the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South and Southern California. Roger recently played a number of successful support slots for David Bromberg and his Quintet on a string of dates and recently completed a tour opening for Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams.
