Register Now - Garden Dialogues in San Francisco, April 16
Discover two intriguing experimental urban landscapes. The first, a two-block prototype for the corridor of Sunset Boulevard between Lake Merced and Golden Gate Park aims to fulfill the city's recent Climate Action Plan with a focus on native San Francisco plants and pollinators. This ecological, recreational, and educational landscape features four wildflower meadows and more than 500 herbaceous Coastal Scrub and Oak Woodland plants. On the west side of the city, the Potrero Hill Eco-Patch is an experimental garden of San Francisco-specific native plants that are adapted to or tolerant of the site's geologically serpentine conditions. In a 900 square feet plot, eight different plant combinations are being tested for site suitability, dynamic seasonal changes, and aesthetic harmony.
