Future Tables: An Art + Tech Fine Dining Convergence

at SFMOMA (5:30PM)
Overview
Future Tables is a high-fidelity civic laboratory ritual hosted at SFMOMA. This activation invites 10 people in Arts and Culture alongside 10 people working in the Tech sector for an evening of structured, non-transactional dialogue. Amidst a shifting urban landscape, Future Tables bridges the gap between the city's "old soul" and its "new engine" to explore a shared civic future rooted in care, creativity, and collective imagination.

What to Expect
The vibe is elegant, design-forward, and deeply collaborative. This is not a standard networking dinner; it is an active co-creation experience where every guest is an author of the night's outcome.

o The Spectrum Reveal: A live physical installation where your pre-submitted "City Color" digital photos are transformed into tangible prints to anchor your evening's journey.

o The Interactive History: A witty, curated look at the historical parallels where SF's art and tech lineages have danced together in the past.

o "The Civic Cipher" Dialogue: Structured, prompt-driven table conversations mapped out over a multi-course dinner.

o Interactive Art Co-Creation: Throughout the entire evening, you will utilize physical art elements right at the table to visually log, process, and lock your insights directly into your premium keepsake booklet.

o Curated Food & Drink: A multi-course narrative dinner paired with botanical shrubs and local craft beers.

The Chef: Chef Haejin Chun--widely known by her moniker Big Bad Wolf--has been covered by Thrillist, Eater, KQED, The San Francisco Chronicle, and Forbes for her innovative culinary pop-ups and unique approach to building community through the universal language of breaking bread. As a Korean American who grew up in California with a degree in Fine Art from CCA, a two-year stint of culinary study in Paris, and a rebel spirit, she is no stranger to crafting beautiful, engaging, locally sourced, unconventional food experiences infused with memorable cultural flavor and personal details. A community organizer, educator, activist, author, and Libra, she recently added "author" to her byline with her first published cookbook through Insight Editions. We are incredibly honored to have the Maestra herself crafting the culinary journey for this exclusive experience!

About the Future of Us Festival

Launching on America's 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination and possibility. We're turning community-sourced, expert-crafted visions of the future into art, storytelling, and participatory experiences. With 100+ events spanning every corner of the city (floral labyrinths, speculative future worlds, dance parties with a purpose, and neighborhood meet-ups), it's a living exploration of what a more creative and generative civic culture could feel like. Organized around four themes (Green Futures, Social Futures, Science & Tech Futures, and Media Futures), Future of Us is breaking down the barriers between art, ideas, and each other, and everyone is invited to co-imagine what comes next.
