NEW EXHIBITIONS AT THE PACIFIC ART LEAGUE OF PALO ALTO IN MARCH

Palo Alto, CA, February 23, 2015, The Pacific Art League announces the opening of two new exhibitions. All are invited to celebrate at the opening reception Friday, March 6, from 5:30 – 8:00 PM. PAL is located at 668 Ramona Street, downtown Palo Alto. Free and open to the public.

CONTEMPORARY 15
Group exhibition of mixed media art works
Artists: Camille Ball, Joy Chase, Bonnie Henkels-Luntz, Lauren Herzog Schwartz, Robert John Hughes, Gerri Russell, Linda Tapscott, Rachel Tirosh, Janet Trenchard, Stella Zhang

Opening Reception, Friday, March 6th, 5:30 – 8:00 PM
Exhibition Dates: March 6 – 26, 2015

Fur, Feathers & Fins, displays 70 works of art centered on the theme of animals. The exhibition, juried by Bradley Platz, Curator of Modern Eden, a contemporary gallery in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, has pieces in a variety of media encompassing painting, drawing, photography, digital art, sculpture, and mixed media. The selection of works encompasses a range of styles, from traditional to cutting edge contemporary. PAL has partnered with the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA to help animals in need, and will be collecting monetary donations for the non-profit during the opening reception. Ambassadors from the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA will be present at the First Friday reception to raise awareness about their mission and offer ways the public can help. The opening reception takes place Friday February 6th, from 5:30 – 8:00pm. Enjoy refreshments, and meet many of the artists.
Opening in the Corridor Gallery is CONTEMPORARY 15, a group exhibition of ten mixed media artists: Camille Ball, Joy Chase, Bonnie Henkels-Luntz, Lauren Herzog Schwartz, Robert John Hughes, Gerri Russell, Linda Tapscott, Rachel Tirosh, Janet Trenchard, Stella Zhang.

The galleries are open during regular hours: M-F, 9am – 5pm, Sat, 10am – 2pm; Closed Sundays

The Pacific Art League, founded in 1921, provides an environment for advancing the expression, appreciation and enjoyment of the arts.
